When I chose my studies I was determined to achieve two goals: to connect different cultures and to have a positive impact on the world, contributing somehow to progress and equity.
After having studied Foreign Languages at the University of Padua, I spent one year in Munich working at a large Patent Law firm.
Back in Italy, I continued learning about Industrial Property working for a local attorney as a freelance translator.
Soon after clients increased tremendously together with more sectors for which I offered translation and language support, expanding my services to the business world.
Many years of experience as a part-time employee in a business export department gave me the chance to understand how a company actually works, its relationships with customers and the in-house dynamics.
Patents and the business world are closely related to law, so I decided to explore this topic more in depth. I attended a Higher Education course at a School for Interpreters and Translators to learn the necessary translation techniques and a training course on law, and especially on contracts to better understand the content and its implications.
It was my passion for writing that led me to take all three levels of a creative writing course and to see one of my short stories published.
With the curiosity of a child and the earnestness of an adult, I keep learning and training on very different topics: from genetics to law, from physics to the enchanted world of fairy tales and folk legends.
I like to switch between complex texts, such as patent and legal texts and contents that require a creative approach such as marketing texts, or even texts that are immersive, such as those for children.
