About Me – Doglioni Translations

I am a professional translator specialising in the translation of patents, legal documentation and technical-scientific texts from English and German.
After graduating in Foreign Languages and Literature from the University of Padua in 1996, I began my career in Germany working at a large Industrial Property Law Firm.
There, I gained my first experience in translating patents and documents relating to the protection of inventions and trademarks, acquiring in-depth knowledge of the structure and terminology of patent language.
Throughout my professional career, I have worked on:
- Patents
- Decisions from the European Patent Office (EPO)
- Technical documentation
- Contracts for companies and private individuals
- Websites
- Company policies
- Corporate training courses
- Legal documents for private individuals
- Sworn translations
I offer my services to
- IP professionals
- Law firms and notary publics
- Companies
- International organisations
- Private individuals
For several years, I combined my work as a translator with direct experience in a manufacturing company, where I was in charge of managing international clients.
This experience has enabled me to develop a practical understanding of business processes and B2B commercial relationships, as well as the role that multilingual communication plays in companies’ operational and decision-making processes.
So when I’m tasked with translating business documents — such as websites, standard operating procedures, policies, contracts or communications with international clients — I’m able to place these texts within their intended context and the company’s workflow. This enables me to select the terminology and linguistic register most appropriate to the document’s purpose and its intended audience with greater precision.
In parallel, I have completed specialist training in legal translation, focusing in particular on contract law and the resolution of cross-border disputes. I have also developed expertise in the translation of medical and scientific texts.
To offer a truly comprehensive service, I have chosen to extend my training to areas of translation that require a more communicative approach, such as editorial translation and subtitling.
This experience enables me to combine different methodologies and techniques and to adapt my translation approach to the purpose of the text, the professional context and the target audience, while always maintaining the necessary balance between terminological accuracy and effective communication.
I am constantly updating my skills to provide ever-improving services.
